A concern about social justice and social action is a vibrant part of the caring community at Rose City Park Presbyterian. Our congregation participates in church-wide offerings of the Presbyterian Church (USA) while continuing to support, with both our dollars and our labor, non-profits aligned with food deprivation, medical help, environmental causes and diversity. Our assistance to local and global mission partners helps us to carry out our mission of easing the way of all God’s children in the world. We share our building as office, rehearsal, and event space with non-profits whose work supports our mission. Each partner brings something unique and special to our community and we enjoy fostering long-term relationships with them!
Our Board of Deacons acts as our internal care board, providing member care through the Ride-to-Church taxi program, delivering flowers throughout the year for members who are no longer able to attend church, and sending cards when members experience life challenges. They support Sunday worship and activities by serving in all welcoming capacities of the church and also support four helping organizations in our community. All of these activities are made possible through the generous financial support of our congregants and friends.
