Each month a few Vets move on to independent living. They usually leave with few, if any, basic items for living and without significant financial resources to obtain these. Everyone needs wastebaskets or laundry baskets. So, let’s PARTY and assemble needed items in the baskets.
Saturday, August 15, 2 PM in the church parking lot
Please gather new or gently used kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom articles such as:
Kitchen: large wastebasket and plastic liners, small kitchen appliances, flatware, dishes (plates, bowls, cups), can opener, cooking spatula and spoon, frying pan, large and small pot, hot pads, coffee pot, dish towels, paper towels, salt and pepper
Bathroom: toilet paper, bath soap, toilet bowl cleaner and brush, shampoo, toothpaste, small wastebasket, shower curtain and hooks, towels
Bedroom: sheets, pillows, bed pads, hangers
THIS IS A MEET IN PERSON EVENT, with masks and social distancing. See your RCPPC friends and work together!
Now is the time to start your donation collection! You may also contact Katrina in the church office if you’d prefer to make a donation to the project.
Let’s send the vets home prepared for their new lives!
