RCPPC members have been active at the Do Good Multnomah veterans’ sites. They served two meals as well as providing a large pot of vegetable/ham soup for another meal at the Wy’East shelter. Also, the Sandy Studio’s office was decorated for the holidays. Below is a thank you response we recently received.
To the fine people of Rose City Park Presbyterian Church:
My sincere thanks goes out to all of you for all you have done to help the veterans at Sandy Studios. We are a small “supportive services” staff who help Veterans, many who are struggling with various challenges, live independently. Because we are such a small staff always extremely busy trying to make a difference in the lives of our veterans, the volunteer work and support which your congregation has offered has been invaluable. From being a positive presence in our supportive
services office, to holiday decorating (Fall and Winter), to donations and food offered, for the service and attention provided, we are truly grateful.
For many of the Veterans who live here, we are like their only family. And for them to walk in surprised by holiday decorations is a huge morale booster, and one that we would have been hard pressed to offer ourselves. Thanks so much for all you have done. This has truly been a godsend for both the residents and staff at Do Good Multnomah Sandy Studios. We hope you all have a great holiday season.
