Adult Discipleship is hosting a film series and discussion in September, October, November, and December with the theme Rooted in Love: Eradicating Systemic Poverty.
The first film is The Florida Project. In this movie, six-year-old Moonee who lives with her mother in Orlando, FL, is the face of poverty. Set on a stretch of highway in a budget motel managed by Bobby (a career-best Willem Dafoe), just outside the imagined utopia of Disney World, The Florida Project follows Moonee and her rebellious mother over the course of a single summer.
